Celebrating its 15th year, this event features a vibrant selection of works from the brightest graduate students from NYC’s MFA, MA, and certificate programs. Prepare to be both impressed and inspired by the innovative designs and fresh perspectives brought to you by the next generation of creative minds.

Come celebrate education and talent with us! Whether you’re a professional in the field, an art lover, or a curious onlooker, this showcase is the perfect place to witness the future of design.

Presenters

Audrey Chou, NYU, Interactive Telecommunication Program (ITP)

Audrey Chou is a multimedia artist and interactive designer, specializing in designing and implementing audio-reactive visual & light systems, directing, producing, and choreographing mixed reality (MR), extended reality (XR), and real-time physical-digital performances. Her work combines research, experimentation, and system-building by integrating diverse technological platforms and devices to create human connection through design.

Simran Shah, SVA, Masters of Fine Arts Design

Simran Shah is a graphic designer with roots in architecture, originally from Valsad, India, now based in New York City. With an MFA in Design from SVA, she creates bold, narrative-driven systems across print, digital, and spatial media. Her work reflects on identity, memory, and place, elevating everyday moments with clarity and quiet strength. Simran believes the best design is precise, poetic, and knows when to whisper. Most of her ideas arrive mid-sip of iced coffee.

Yujeong Bae, SVA, MFA Interaction Design

Yujeong Bae is a product designer with over four years of experience in fintech, healthcare, civic tech, and creative tech. She blends systems thinking, playful interaction, and behavioral insight to create human-centered solutions that make complex topics more approachable. Yujeong started her UX journey when she realized that while physical strength may be limited, design has the potential to empower people and make a meaningful impact.

Kimberly Hopkins, Cooper Union, Type@Cooper

Kim Hopkins is a type designer, graphic designer, and art director based in the Baltimore area. She holds a BA in English from Michigan State University, an MFA in Advertising Design from Marywood University, and received a type design certificate from the Type@Cooper Extended Program in summer 2024. Her studio, khopdesign, LLC develops print, branding, and digital projects. Additionally, she is an associate professor of graphic design at Towson University where her scholarship focuses on language, design, and humanism.

Jenny Yen, Parsons School of Design, MPS Communication Design

Jenny Yen is a UI/UX product designer from Taiwan, currently based in NYC. With a background in industrial design and three years of experience in UI/UX, she is passionate about creating thoughtful, creative, and user-centered experiences — bridging the physical and digital to improve everyday life. She brings strong skills in typography, prototyping, and creative coding, turning ideas into refined, functional, and engaging interactive experiences.

Monsicha Srisuantang, Parsons School of Design, MS Data Visualization

Monsicha Srisuantang is a digital designer focused on data visualization, with a background in Communication Design. Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, her work spans data storytelling, information graphics, web design, and illustration. She enjoys observing people and everyday objects—especially overlooked details tied to daily life. She loves connecting the dots and balancing insightful data with impactful visuals.

Piyush Bhagat, SVA, MPS Branding

Piyush Bhagat is a Brooklyn-based visual designer and brand strategist from Kolkata, India, currently in the MPS Branding program at SVA. His work merges strategic clarity with bold visual storytelling, shaped by a journey across cultures and disciplines. With a maximalist eye and analytical instinct, he explores brand worlds that bring coherence to complexity and channel polymathic creativity into immersive, resonant design.

Hongting (Ting) Shen, Pratt Institute, MFA Communication Design

Hongting (Ting) Shen is a designer whose work spans graphic design, motion graphic design, frame-by-frame animation, editorial and book design, typography, taxonomy study, and textile design. Her practice centers on exploring visual and material languages across formats. Her work often investigates systems of categorization and framing, treating design as a tool to archive, narrate, and reimagine relationships between form, memory, and meaning.

Ailsa Petrie, SVA, MA Design Research, Writing & Criticism

Ailsa Petrie is a researcher, writer, and instructional designer based in New York City. She recently earned her Master’s in Design Research, Writing, and Criticism from SVA. She holds a Dual BFA in Service Design and Industrial Design from SCAD. She was a 2020 IDEO CoLab fellow. Ailsa’s e-learning strategy skills earned her teaching fellow opportunities at Harvard University’s Extension School and at Stanford’s D-School. Ailsa is committed to making learning accessible and inclusive.
