BREAKFAST CLUB: START ME UP II (THE LAW)

Going out on your own is an exciting and liberating experience; anything is possible! But that list of possibilities can also include the potential downside of owning and operating your own business. Those risks can be scary and the law overwhelming.

Enter Christopher Travis, Esq, to shed light on the legal aspects of a start up design business. Topics to be discussed will include legal structures, contracts and agreement generation, protection from lawsuits and agreements with employees and independent contractors. After this second installment of “start me up!”, you’ll have the initial knowledge you’ll need to get started.

Christopher Travis, Esq. graduated magna cum laude from Binghamton University, where he was named to Phi Beta Kappa, and earned his Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law.
