Design Remixed: Andrew Sloat

Andrew Sloat / Drainage Ditch (www.andrewsloat.com) is a graphic designer and videomaker. His video work began as part of his graduate thesis at Yale, exploring the relationship between the two-dimensionality of print design and the three-dimensionality of theater. Most recently, he began a long-term project of applying this idea to the words of the American Constitution; the first segment was presented at the AIGA Design Conference 2007 in Denver. His studio also produces print and interactive work for cultural and nonprofit clients such as Aperture Books, the New York Hall of Science, and the Frick Collection. He lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, and is a certified NYC street-tree steward.

Join AIGA and Apple for the series, “Pro Sessions: Design Remixed,” and hear how professionals today are redefining their creative process. Featured speakers will share their insights into the changing landscape of design and discuss how design has evolved and creativity has diversified beyond any single discipline.
