Lisa Naftolin is the creative director of Art + Commerce, an agency representing image makers including photographers, stylists, and creative directors. Her practice has been divided between cultural and editorial projects for the past twenty years. She has collaborated widely with artists and curators to produce material for museum exhibitions of contemporary art—notably with Ann Hamilton on the book Tropos for the DIA Center for the Arts. Her editorial work includes many years as an art director at publications including The New York Times Magazine and Architecture. She has been a visiting artist at Cooper Union teaching Advanced Design, a visiting critic in Design at Yale, and is currently a mentor in the Photography program at SVA. Naftolin is a past board member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, New York.
